Our Transitional Living Program helps youth build the skills, confidence, and support they need to live independently and lead fulfilling, purpose-driven lives.

We provide safe, stable housing and a range of supportive services, including:

  • Connections to community resources

Our program staff manage day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly while working closely with residents to provide personalized guidance and help them achieve their individual goals.

Program Requirements

To join Steady Steps Housing/TLP, youth must meet the following requirements:

  • Ready to take steady steps toward independence

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 22

  • Participant in Florida Extended Foster Care or the Aftercare program. 

  • Full-time students must also work part-time

  • Residents not enrolled in school full-time must work full-time

  • Participate in savings program (required for all residents)

  • Participate in weekly life skills training

  • Remain in full program compliance at all times

  • Single and double occupancy rooms in a fully furnished setting, with all utilities included and complimentary internet/Wi-Fi. Each home features 24/7 security monitoring, on-site washer and dryer, toiletries and hygiene products, access to community computers, and a welcome kit for every youth. Lawn care and pest control are provided, along with outdoor amenities for relaxation and recreation.

  • Approved guests may visit during scheduled times in common areas only. Professional visitors are welcome, and staff can assist with coordination.

  • Pricing is based on the unique needs of each youth, based on their completed paperwork and ongoing assessments. For more information, please contact us directly.

  • Savings expectations increase by phase, with monthly reviews. Responsible financial habits may lead to greater access to personal funds over time.
